Ryder Cup Best Bets: Saturday FoursomesJon Rahm & Tyrrell Hatton +110 Over Cantlay/Schauffele (Tie Loses | FanDuel)

Jason Sobel: It鈥檚 not over 鈥?I mean, technically.

Europe dominated and decimated the U.S. on Friday, but there鈥檚 a nonzero chance things can flip around on Saturday.

That鈥檚 not blind patriotism; it鈥檚 just golf, which ebbs and flows with the momentum changing without any notice. I鈥檓 not suggesting to play the Americans overall at +600, but if you got on the Euros early at something close to +200, it might be worth a small hedge.

Anyway鈥?there are a few inherent problems with backing the Stars and Stripes, and No. 1 for me isn鈥檛 named Rory or Viktor 鈥?it鈥檚 Jon Rahm.

While most European players were beaming and fist-pumping their way around Marco Simone all day, Rahm had the demeanor of someone whose dog just died. Stone-faced, locked-in, if there was a player on that roster I could pick right now to go undefeated, it鈥檚 Rahm, who made a big-time eagle putt on the closing hole to tie his four-balls match on Friday afternoon.

I don鈥檛 expect him to be any less focused for the morning foursomes session when he's back with Hatton, who鈥檚 no slouch in his own right.

Schauffele and Cantlay have been very disappointing so far, and they are likely paired together again due to a lack of options for the American side. At plus-money on the three-way moneyline at FanDuel, Rahm/Hatton should once again claim a full point for Team Europe.

Justin Thomas First Out In Singles On Sunday +800 (DraftKings)

Spencer Aguiar: I will throw a curveball for my best bet since I thought the board had limited value on Saturday morning. My model favors the following teams:

Rory McIlroy/Tommy Fleetwood over Jordan Spieth/Justin ThomasMax Homa/Brian Harman over Jordan Spieth/Justin ThomasBrooks Koepka/Scottie Scheffler over Ludvig Aberg/Viktor HovlandPatrick Cantlay/Xander Schauffele over Jon Rahm/Tyrrell Hatton

However, I am going to go down the path Chris Murphy suggested earlier in the week and grab Justin Thomas to be the first American out in singles on Sunday at +800.

I am surprised to see this number still available anywhere near the same price after Thomas showed he was the heart and soul of Team USA with his passion and play in the afternoon.

The Ryder Cup is all about passion. There isn鈥檛 a U.S. player more fiery than Justin Thomas. You might not have wanted him on the team considering form, but tough to argue against him in this match right now.

I've talked all week about Spieth being the potential liability for the duo since his erratic nature and poor par-4 scoring could falter in crucial moments, which happened late on Friday.

Thomas has some limitations of his own, but Zach Johnson tipped his hand in four-ball (best ball) on Friday when he sent Thomas/Spieth out first. This should only increase the likelihood that Johnson will tab Thomas to lead the squad on Sunday morning.

I will take a hefty half-unit and swing for the fences here.
